Online shopping and COVID-19: the effects on mobility and transport

In the coming years, Dutch consumers will order goods, groceries and meals online significantly more often than before 2020. This is shown in the study 'Online shopping and COVID-19: the effects on mobility and transport' by the KiM Netherlands Institute for Transport Policy Analysis. After the pandemic, the amount of online shopping will remain approximately the same as in 2020 and 2021. Home delivery of meals and online purchases are expected to decrease only slightly compared to the past two years.
