In parts of the Netherlands where regular buses run only at certain times or not at all, flexible transport can offer an alternative. When this flexible transport replaces a regular bus, some passengers see it as a reduction in public transport services, which affects their daily lives. Therefore, more attention to the needs of passengers is needed when developing flexible transport. This is the conclusion of researchers from the Netherlands Institute for Transport Policy Analysis (KiM) in the publication 'Flexible transport, stubborn challenges?'.
