Logistics for international trade contributes both directly and indirectly to the functioning of the Dutch economy. The KiM Netherlands Institute for Transport Policy Analysis (KiM) conducted research into various aspects of the transport and storage of goods in the Netherlands resulting from international trade. KiM also quantified the advantages and disadvantages for society of playing a role in the international trade and logistics of goods. Due to the use of different definitions and data sources, the advantages and disadvantages cannot simply be added together.
