Our work programme
Our work is based on questions from the ministry: the policy directorates at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management ask research questions and we answer them. We engage the policy directorates in a dialogue to ensure their questions are precisely formulated, and regularly alert them to strategic developments, social trends and other issues that may require a policy response and further research. This dialogue is the basis on which we draw up our work programme.
If KiM considers a study to be particularly important for the development of future policy, but the topic has not been put forward by one of the policy directorates, KiM can still decide to carry out the study. This could be the case if KiM foresees that the question will be put forward at a later date.
